Bory Tucholskie, the largest compact forest complex in Poland, offers mushroom pickers the unusual richness of their favorite delicacies. The most common edible mushrooms here are tricholoma, porcini, boletus, leccinum and of course chanterelles.
In the area of the Bory Tucholskie National Park, mushrooms (not protected) can be collected in the period from 1 June to 31 October (except for strict protection areas, animal refuges and younger forests where trees do not exceed 4 m).
